When you join the launch notification list, we hold your name, email address, role (parent/student, counselor, or independent educational consultant), and optional IECA flag. When you search by ZIP code or build a college list, that data is stored only in your browser and never sent to our servers. We use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to measure how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on page, how you arrived). Google AdSense may use cookies to serve personalized ads. That is the whole inventory.
No password. No IP logs kept by us. No detailed browsing history. CollegeLister is designed so a breach of our database would tell someone very little about you.
We use your email only to send one launch notification, which may include a promotional offer or promo code. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails beyond the launch notification. Launch-list data is kept until launch plus 12 months, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. We do not sell, share, or rent your information to third parties.
Google Analytics measures site usage with cookies; visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are asked for consent first. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. Google AdSense serves ads on our site and may use cookies for personalization. You can control your ad settings at Google Ad Settings.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use standard security measures to protect your information, but no method of internet transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before it takes effect rather than quietly editing this page.
